Syvaris the King

Syvaris is a wood elf destined to be a great king, but for a very short period of time.  At the time of his birth his father Sivr had been king for over 20 years, he was a corrupt and evil king.  Syvaris at a young age was showing exponential strength and wisdom.  His father saw that as a threat and ordered his execution.  On the night of the punishment to take place Syvaris’s mother gave him to a merchant to look after Syvaris.
As Syvaris was training to be a merchant throughout most of his teens by the time he was 18, the merchant that was training him decided it was time to give him his destiny.  The Merchant said “I have visited an elder, whom knows your path, you have a choice.  You can stay with me and continue your travels, live a long life, and be wealthy.  Or you can return to your forest and challenge your father, save your mother and live a short life.”  Syvaris chooses to save his mother and forest.  All wood elves are masters of archery; they are the marksman of the world.
First Syvaris needed to obtain a bow, not just any bow, the bow of the Fierce Deity, it can impail any elf armor and only a true marksman can master it.  The only problem is this bow is kept in the tree in which Sivr lives.  This means that Syvaris must sneak in obtain the bow and slay his father, which is easier said than done.
Being a merchant Syvaris knew all of the routes.  He quickly found the tree in which his parents lived in, and made his way to the trophy room.  Once he identified  which bow was the one he was looking for the guards came from the shadows, and told him that they were sick of how corrupt Sivr is and gave them their blessing with the bow.

Now that Syvaris was equipped with the finest bow, it was time to challenge his father.  But the problem was Syvaris is always too trusting.  The guards then attack him from behind, and get poisoned.  He knew he must kill the king before the poison had gotten to vital organs.  He went to the throne room where Sivr had been waiting.  Syvaris fired an arrow and wounded Sivr with a shot right to the knee.  As he was down his father apologized and Syvaris was done trusting, he killed Syvaris there on the spot.  As the heir to the throne Syvaris took the crown, sat on the throne and awaited for the poison to finish him.

  1. Good story and plot line.Tragic Flaw is Syvaris' trust? One small error is one of the final sentences: "The guards then ATTACK him from behind, and GET poisoned."
